WL-LINK
Compact Access Point and Ethernet Bridge for industrial applications
|
 |
 |
 |
 |
When used in the Access Point mode, the WL-LINK is the root element
of an industrial WiFi Ethernet network.
When used as a Bridge, it makes it possible to connect any Ethernet 10/100
industrial equipment to this network.
The WL-LINK device is also designed to work as a wireless bridge between
the wired MODBUS/TCP protocol and the radio network, this feature allows
to connect any MODBUS/TCP equipment to this network.
Thanks to its built-in WEB interface, the setup of the device is achieved
using the web browser installed on your computer (Internet Explorer, Netscape,
Mozilla ...).
WL-LINK doesn't require any additional software to be installed in your
computer (no peripheral driver needed).
WL-LINK comes with a 2 dBi omnidirectional antenna which confer to the
device a 200 m radio coverage ((line of sight)), antenna can be replaced by
a cable with an RP-SMA connector in order to increase the range of the device
or when the device is installed inside an electrical cabinet (the product
is delivered with Din Rail accessories).
Its size is extremely compact (L:94 x W:58 x H:23 mm) and can easily
integrated in electrical cabinets or close to the PLC equipments.
Integrators and manufacturers (point of sales, medical instrumentation,
industrial automation, security systems, building automation, mobile devices
...) can right now rely on this new technology to build safety wireless
network applications while freeing themselves from wiring constraints.

Network cable replacement
|
Used in the Bridge mode, the WL-LINK enables to connect together
two distincts Ethernet networks.
Such installation works in the AD-HOC mode (direct radio connection
without infrastructure) or within a radio network controlled
by an Access Point as well.
Similar installation can be used to connect two Ethernet equipments
through the WiFi radio network.
When configured to the Bridge mode, WL-LINK allows to connect
any MODBUS/TCP equipment to the radio network.
|
|
Acess Point mode, WiFi infrastructure
|
|
While configured to the Access Point mode, the WL-LINK is
become the root element of the radio network infrastructure.
It works like a switch and enables to connect a huge number
of WiFi Clients to this network.
A WiFi client can be a notebook computer with a WiFi interface
card or any other Ethernet equipments connected to the radio
network through a WL-LINK device configured to the Bridge
mode.
