WLg-IDA/N features a WLAN interface coupled to a 2-port Ethernet 10/100 designed for harsh industrial environments and automotive applications. The unit is housed in a compact enclosure ready to be DIN rail or panel mounted.
The device offers many switch technology advancements, including auto MDI/MDIX crossover for easy plug and play application.
WLg-IDA/N fulfils the most severe requirements in terms of operating environment: operating temperature from -20°C to +70°C, shockproof and vibration proof according to MIL-STD-810F standard, IP30 seal rating.

The WLg-IDA/N used in the ACCESS POINT mode makes it possible to create an industrial WiFi
wireless network from any industrial equipment featuring an 10/100 Ethernet
interface.
Used in the BRIDGE mode, the WLg-IDA/N enables to connect any industrial equipment featuring a 10/100 Ethernet interface to the WiFi wireless network.
WLg-IDA/N module can also be used as a WiFi network repeater (WDS) in order to extend radio coverage, device supports both INFRASTRUCTURE and AD-HOC modes.
The WLg-IDA/N device is also designed to work as a wireless bridge between the wired MODBUS/TCP or PROFINET protocols and the radio network, this feature allows to connect any MODBUS/TCP or PROFINET equipments to this network.
Thanks to its built-in WEB interface, the setup of the device is achieved using the web browser installed on your computer (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla ...).
It also offers SNMP and NDM administration / configuration and the “C-Key” which allows quick and easy on-site replacement of the WLg-IDA/N unit, eliminating the need to reconfigure the replacement part or to use any other equipment.
WLg-IDA/N doesn't require any additional software to be installed on your computer (no peripheral driver needed).
The radio link is made safe by using most modern methods of protection: WEP 64/128 bits, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and authentification IEEE 802.1x (RADIUS server).
The nominal range (open space) of the module is 300 m for a transmit power of +20 dBm and -92 dBm in reception (a/g modes) and -95 dBm (IEEE 802.11b mode).
It is powered from a dual input DC power supply (+9VDC to +36VDC), power consumption is 4.5W typical, IEEE 802.3 af is also available for the WLg-IDA/NP model.

Application examples

The WLg-IDA/N enables to connect two Ethernet networks or two Ethernet equipments in the AD-HOC mode (direct radio connection without infrastructure) or within a radio network controlled by an Access Point as well.
The WLg-IDA/N can also be configured to work as a WiFi access Point.
WLg-IDA/N also supports the MODBUS/TCP & PROFINET protocols, thus you can easily replace a network cable by the radio link to connect any industrial equipment which rely on these protocols.
