ACKSYS started its activities
as a Hardware & Software Consultant. Its early clients included
THOMSON, SHARP, VICTOR, Le Crédit du Nord
, the French
Skiing Federation and IBM, for which ACKSYS manufactured the notice
boards for the results of the First Acrobatic Skiing World Championship
hosted by Tignes. |
| 1986 |
Then, seeking to make a larger
customer base benefit of its experience in the area of telecom, the
company began to produce its own range of products. |
| 1987 |
Launching the first intelligent
serial communication board of the range (MCC board) which, as a token
of sustainability, still figures in the ACKSYS catalogue. |
| 1989 |
Loading of the range of communication
boards onto the IBM MCA bus |
| 1992 |
ACKSYS introduces the first serial links device servers over Ethernet
TCP/IP solution of the market (ARCHIPEL system, 8 or 16 RS232/RS422/RS485
links over Ethernet 10BASE2, 10BASE5 & 10BASET).
Launch of the MCX board, asynchronous/synchronous intelligent communication
serial board "PC
in PC".
Launch of a full range of media converters (RS232, RS422/458, current
loop, fiber optic
).
|
| 1997 |
ACKSYS makes available to its
customers a software platform for the running of synchronous protocols
HDLC, SDLC, ABM, X25, LAB B, NRM under Windows & UNIX |
| 1999 |
Construction of a new range

The company obtains the ISO 9002 certification |
| 2000 |
Development of a range of products intended for WAN network analysis
Development of a range of products intended for downloading of
GSM mobiles
|
| 2001 |
Introduction of a range of synchronous and asynchronous programmable
intelligent boards for machines with Compact PCI bus (MCXCPCI),
of a range of serial links servers on Ethernet TCP/ IP and, finally,
a freshly produced new series of low cost classic serial communication
boards (xRSPCI).
ACKSYS triples its R & D staff so as to meet the requirements
of the high growth of its engineering (consultancy) activity (logged
real time applications, IHM, expertise, customerised design of protocols).
