Documentation

Three kinds of manuals are provided.

A general serial ports servers user manual
One specific quick start guide for each product model
One specific firmware manual for each mode of operation

The user manual (DTUS062) and the quick installation guides are available in the CDROM and in the download section of the ACKSYS website.

Please follow the instructions in the user manual to install a new firmware version in the product.

Firmware files in the firmware pack

The firmware files have a ".bin" extension.

The file named with the "APPID003" code applies to the WLg-IDA/S and WLg-XROAD/S products.
If provided, the file named with the "WLg-IDA-S" code applies (obviously) to the WLg-IDA/S products ONLY.

Transmission rate

The Transmission Rate displayed in the "status" web page on the product, and the one displayed on a associated Acksys Access Point, are not identical. This is expected since these values are transmit rates which may be different from receive rates as the rate may be asymetric.

SNMP

Warning: the WEP keys must be sent as pure binary or hex. Some SNMP managers like net-snmp handle this, but others, like the iReasoning browser, do not allow this.

5.14.1 14-nov-13	When the power supply applied to a WLg-xROAD/S varies slowly around its minimum value, the power-on hardware reset of the product is too short, sometimes causing a memory corruption and a subsequent loss of configuration data. The power-on reset was lengthened by software.

Please note that several problems reported to our technical support were found as customer problems or non-bugs, thus the holes in the numbered list below.
Also, the bugs corrected in previous versions are left off this list.
